The machine includes both an upholstery head, perfect for upholstered car seats and carpets, and a wider floor head that is mounted on a stainless steel vacuum pole, enabling you to use the machine on larger areas such as rooms. The canister design allows easier mobility and is mounted on easy-motion casters and two lateral fixed wheels, and with a 10-foot-long hose, getting around the average vehicle is effortless. The powerful 1100 vacuum motor is isolated with its own switch, and the water pump has its own dedicated switch too; this allows the operator to stop the water flow when necessary or, vice versa, stop the vacuum and just spray...making it versatile. Different from a shampooer, this extractor has two separate removable compartments or water reservoirs, one for clean water and one for dirty water. These compartments are removable, so they're easy to empty or fill with warm or cold water. The machine is light enough to be hand-carried (although we don't recommend carrying it full of water!) and it's small enough to fit into a compact car or a small truck. Water only — never detergent. The Aqua Pro Vac’s clean water tank is filled with warm water, and cleaning solution is applied separately. Pre-treat the area with any brand of liquid or powdered non-foaming carpet cleaning detergent from a spray bottle, let it dwell 1–2 minutes, then extract with the machine. Putting detergent in the tank can foam up and damage the vacuum motor.

What is the process for cleaning upholstery and carpets?

First, you need to vacuum the carpet or upholstery to remove any particles like dust or debris.

Over the past 10 years, the best practices that have emerged from mobile auto detailers involve using a detergent mixed with water in a spray bottle, spraying this mixture on the carpet, and using a drill bit brush to agitate the pile. Then use the clean water from the extractor to remove the dirt.... You won't believe your eyes when you see the dirt being sucked away.

How do I clean concentrated stains in upholstery or carpet?

If you're dealing with a heavy-duty stain, then it's recommended to first spot clean the stain with a concentrated cleaning solution in a spray bottle before doing an overall clean with the Aqua Pro Vac. Leave it to sit on the carpet for a minute and then complete two passes with the machine. This will give you a greater chance of removing the stain completely.

When I'm done using the Aqua Pro Vac, how do I clean it out?

When you're done cleaning the carpet, upholstery, or stairs, grab the spray nozzle and hold it over the removable recovery tank on the vacuum cleaner and hold down the trigger to release the remaining solution until it is empty. Then switch off the pump and disconnect the spray hose. Next, disconnect the vacuum hose. Empty the clean water tank and recovery tank and rinse clean. Then clean off nozzles and hoses with water and put the Aqua Pro Vac away until its next use.
